A very berry, merry, healthy, safe Christmas and Chanuka to all you wonderful, beautiful people.
May your lives always be filled with light, love, happy gatherings and delicious feasts!
I am sure NO ONE wants to cook one more meal today which is why I decided to post my delicious, healthy, TWO ingredients, sugar-free jam recipe on this special day, perfect for ALL occasions, especially Christmas and Chanuka! This jam is there for when you run out of jam for your last few doughnuts or you’re missing something semi-sweet for on your celebratory chia pudding, pavlova, tea cake or your morning piece of toast, this is the supreme spread or dollop!
This is the perfect substitute (in my opinion) for ALL JAMS. I have not bought jam since I started to make this, and you can’t go back to eating store-bought jam once you’ve tried it!
Ingredients 500g mixed frozen berries or just strawberries or just blueberries, thawed.
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Method Place berries in a small pot over a medium-high flame, once it starts to bubble reduce heat to medium-low with the lid ajar and allow to cook for 15 minutes before stirring in the chia seeds, reduce flame to low and cook for another 20-25 minutes with lid ajar and don’t forget to give the berries a good stir every now and then to make sure they aren’t sticking to the bottom of the pot. Please note: If you choose to use fresh berries just add a couple of tablespoons of water when beginning to cook.
Love,
Nava
PS - I love hearing from you! Let me know how it went and feel free to spread the word/passion/love, the more the merrier!
